Assistant Senior Administrative Officer.
This program provides direction and planning for all recreation activities within the Hamlet of Pond Inlet, including any special events and holidays observed in Nunavut. This department has it's own board and reports to the Council on planned activities for each month.
This position has responsibility for financial and administration functions including payroll, grants and contributions, and purchasing. This position reports to the Director of Finance, and is reponsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk.
This position oversees all regulations and bylaws of the Hamlet of Pond Inlet. This position serves as the peace officer for the Hamlet, and is responsible for ensuring that all residents adhere to the bylaws of the Hamlet of Pond Inlet.
Community Planning & Lands
This position administers and maintains approved programs and projects to ensure that the objectives of the Hamlet of Pond Inlet are met in any land development following the Hamlet of Pond Inlet Municipal Plan.
The Hamlet of Pond Inlet funds this position as a fiscal year position via a contribution agreement. The Hamlet funds this position via specific program funding from various agencies, but it is a vital part of the services for our community.
Economic Development Officer (C.E.D.O)
This position has the overall responsibility for ministering to and enhancing the economy and economic capacity of Baffin communities and residents. This position works with local businesses to improve capacity and capability.
This program is specifically for municipal services, with all water, sewer, road and public works under this department. The work requires more strategic planning, especially for future years.
